PA-B production platform

The Piltun-Astokhskoye-B (PA-B), the largest platform of the Sakhalin-2 project, is a drilling, processing and production platform that has been extracting oil and aassociated gas from the Piltun reservoir since 2008. The hydrocarbons from the PA-B platform flows through the offshore and onshore piplelines to the LNG Plant and oil export terminal at the Prigorodnoye production complex.

It is located 12km off the north-eastern coast of Sakhalin Island, in a water depth of around 32m.

PA-A Molikpaq

PA-A Molikpaq

The Molikpaq is the first in Russia offshore oil production platform. Commercial oil production from the platform was launched in 1999. It is a converted drilling rig that was first used in Arctic waters offshore Canada.

The Molikpaq platform is located 16km off the coast of north-eastern part of Sakhalin.

LUN-A Lunskoye production platform

LUN-A Lunskoye production platform

Lun-A platform is the first in Russia offshore gas production platform. This platform produces the majority of the gas under the project. Oil/condensate and gas separation including gas treatment for transport to the LNG plant is done at the onshore processing facility. The Lun-A was successfully brought on stream in December 2008.

Located 15 km off the north eastern coast of Sakhalin Island, in a water depth of 48 m.

Prigorodnoye production complex

Prigorodnoye production complex

The Prigorodnoye Production Complex comprises a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant and an oil export terminal (OET). The complex covers up to 236 ha.

The complex is located on the southern shore of Sakhalin island, alongside Aniva Bay, 15 km to the east from Korsakov.
