PA-B production platform

The Piltun-Astokhskoye-B (PA-B), the largest platform of the Sakhalin-2 project, is a drilling, processing and production platform that has been extracting oil and aassociated gas from the Piltun reservoir since 2008

The hydrocarbons from the PA-B platform flows through the offshore and onshore piplelines to the LNG Plant and oil export terminal at the Prigorodnoye production complex.

Projects implemented for PA-B production platform

Oil flowline

Oil flowline

In order to ensure constant oil production, an oil well flowline shall be installed and commissioned by July 2024. Drilling sequence to be determined by operational requirements. The oil well flowline is planned for future as a production flowline for Piltun-B area, and its installation requires a Detailed Design.

Currently, the project design is 60% complete.

GPE work scope includes PDMS modelling, site survey, detailed drawings, 30% review of pipework routing, 60% design and constructability review, work packs, issue of PO's, request for quotation for springs and dampers, insulation jackets and magnetic flowmeter.

Currently the project design is 60% complete.

MPG-A & B control panel upgrade

MPG-A & B control panel upgrade

Main controllers to be upgraded for each of essential energy generator. The existing controllers negatively affect platform operations due to frequent tripping, low reliability, difficulties with troubleshooting and lack spare parts availability. This project will ensure upgraded of turbine control system along with higher reliability, as well as shorten the non-productive time and help to switch to equipment standardization. The project will also help to improve controlling functions and keep the existing system serviceable.

Currently, the project is at the FEED stage
